Condition & Value Assessment

Estimated Market Value
$15 - $35 (Raw); $60 - $120 (PSA 8/9 equivalent)
Recent Sales
Raw copies typically sell for $10-$25 on eBay. Graded PSA 8 copies have recently sold for $50-$80, while PSA 9 low-pop examples can exceed $200.
Condition Details
The card exhibits the characteristic O-Pee-Chee rough-cut edges. Centering appears slightly shifted to the right. Corners look relatively sharp through the top loader, though the bottom left corner may have a slight touch of wear. Surface appears clean with vibrant colors.
Grading Recommendation
Moderate Recommendation. Because this is the same set as the Wayne Gretzky rookie card, there is high collector interest. If the surface is free of wax stains on the back and the corners are as sharp as they look, a PSA 8 is possible, making grading worthwhile. A 7 or lower likely just covers the grading fee.
Card Description
Features Buffalo Sabres legend Gilbert Perreault in his classic blue and gold home jersey. He is positioned in a mid-action shot holding his stick. The design features a yellow vertical name bar and a pink border, with a circular Sabres logo in the top right. Perreault played center for his entire 17-year career with Buffalo.
Notable Features
Hall of Fame player; Second-year style (same design as Gretzky RC); Bilingual text ('Center/Centre'); Rough-cut edges which are a hallmark of authentic O-Pee-Chee production.
Authentication Notes
The authentic 'rough cut' edge is visible, which is difficult to forge. The dot-matrix print pattern on the yellow and pink areas is consistent with 1970s O-Pee-Chee lithography. No immediate signs of trimming or counterfeiting.
