Condition & Value Assessment
Condition Grade
Very Good (VG 3)
Estimated Market Value
Raw (as pictured): $1 - $3; Graded (PSA 8): $40 - $60
Recent Sales
Raw copies typically sell in the $1-$5 range on eBay as part of larger lots or as individual low-grade filler. Mid-grade PSA 6 or 7 copies sell for approximately $15-$25.
Condition Details
Moderate to heavy corner wear with rounding, noticeable edge chipping and minor separation of the card layers on the lower-left edge. Significant top-to-bottom centering issues (shifted significantly toward the bottom border). Surface shows light spotting and potential light creasing on the top right.
Grading Recommendation
Not recommended for grading. The card exhibits significant wear and severe centering issues that would land it in the VG-EX or lower range. The cost of grading (approx. $19-$25) would far exceed the market value of the slabbed card.
Card Description
John McGlocklin of the Milwaukee Bucks is shown in a white home uniform, jersey number 14, holding a basketball in a triple-threat or shooting stance. The design features a red background, a diagonal 'BUCKS' team name in yellow block letters at the bottom, and his name/position in blue text at the very bottom border.
Notable Features
Features the 'BUCKS' arched font design characteristic of the 1972-73 Topps set. McGlocklin was an NBA All-Star and champion with the 1971 Bucks.
Authentication Notes
Appears to be an authentic 1972 Topps card. The card stock shows appropriate age-related browning (toning), and the print pattern is consistent with early 1970s offset lithography.
