Condition & Value Assessment

Condition Grade

Excellent (EX 5)

Estimated Market Value

$1.00 - $3.00 (Raw); $30.00 - $50.00 (PSA 9/10)

Recent Sales

Individual raw cards from this set typically sell for $1-$5 on eBay in lots or singles. PSA 10 examples can reach $50+ due to the popularity of the series and difficulty of finding high-grade vintage card stock.

Condition Details

Visible corner wear and rounding on the top right and bottom left. Minor edge chipping. Centering appears slightly shifted to the left and bottom based on the grey borders. Surface shows typical vintage dullness.

Grading Recommendation

Not recommended for grading unless the card is in flawless/Gem Mint condition. The current condition (approx. EX 5) does not justify the grading fees as the market value would not exceed the cost of the service.

Card Description

The card features Homer Simpson in a television-style frame with a speech bubble that reads: 'I'M NO SUPERVISING TECHNICIAN... I'M A TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR.' The background is pink. The card is printed on grey card stock with the Matt Groening signature printed in the bottom left corner.

Notable Features

First series release of The Simpsons cards by Topps. Features a classic quote from the early episodes. Bottom cards in the stack show 'N CARD #68: BUG BAILEY' which is from a different set or part of the same production run.

Authentication Notes

The copyright line on the side 'THE SIMPSONS TM AND 1990 TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX FILM CORPORATION... THE TOPPS COMPANY INC.' matches authentic 1990 production. Card stock is consistent with 1990s Topps non-sports releases.
